Terms and Conditions
Booking Conditions:
1. Payment of Deposit - In order to confirm space for your tour a deposit along with a completed traveler's profile must be mailed or faxed to Union Bay Corporate Adventures (JourneyMakers).
2. Payment of Balance - JourneyMakers must receive full payment on invoice no later than 60 days prior to commencement of trip. If full payment is not received by this date your booking will be considered cancelled.
3. Pricing - All trip prices are quoted is US dollars and are exclusive of any taxes. Taxes will be shown on your invoice price.
4. Credit Cards - Most credit cards are accepted for payment, however a 2% surcharge will be applied only to American Express or Diners Club. Where a credit card has been used to make your deposit you will be contacted for authorization by telephone prior to your remaining balance being charged.
Cancellation Fee and Refunds:
All cancellations must be received in writing. If a trip
is cancelled for any reason by JourneyMakers, all deposits
and payments will be refunded in full. Any cancellations made
60 or more days prior to a trip will incur a charge of $350.
Cancellations made less than 60 days but more than 30 days
prior to a trip will incur a 65% charge based on the non-refundable
portions of airline, hotel , guiding staff, and other miscellaneous
costs associated with the trip.
Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to a trip date
are non- refundable. Trips may be rescheduled, based on space
availability.
Air Transportation:
Subject to normal airline terms and conditions.
Passport requirements:
Current Canadian regulations require all non-residents to carry a valid passport or birth certificate and picture id. Please ensure that yours is up to date.
Insurance:
Travel Insurance is strongly recommended and can be purchased through JourneyMakers.
Taxes:
Your final invoice price includes all government taxes, including GST. (Goods & Services Tax) If you are a US resident, half of the GST charged will be eligible for a refund following the trip. Please contact JourneyMakers for the necessary forms. International Airport taxes or departure taxes are not included in your price.
Responsibilities:
JourneyMakers and its agents cannot be held responsible for any alteration that my occur in the timetable of services other than those owned and operated by JourneyMakers for any reason whatsoever. Should passengers incur additional expenses, it is the responsibility of each passenger. The right is reserved to cancel or amend any itinerary or program if it should become necessary. JourneyMakers shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness or injury, however and whom so ever caused and/or whatever kind occurring to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board the carrier or conveyance used or operated by JourneyMakers. The passage contract used by JourneyMakers shall constitute the sole contract between them and the purchaser of these tours and /or passenger, all tickets, coupons and orders are furnished and issued subject in all respects to those terms and conditions under which the means of transportation of other services provided thereby are offered or supplied by owners, operator, public carriers and managing agents.
JourneyMakers is not liable and denies all responsibility for personal injury or property damage arising out of these activities, whether caused by circumstances within or without its control. JourneyMakers reserves the right to amend, make variation or to cancel tours, accommodation, transport or other services and facilities advertised in its brochures. These conditions cannot be varied, or altered or waived by any servant or agent or representative of JourneyMakers, or by any person providing services or facilities. JourneyMakers will not be found by representation purported to have been made on its behalf unless it conforms or has confirmed or made a representation in writing. JourneyMakers reserves the right to utilise hotels; other than those named in these itineraries to suit amended hotel reservations. It finalizes all arrangements upon the express conditions set out herewith. That it shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity occasioned through acts of default on the part of any company or person engaged in conveying the passengers or in carrying out arrangements for the tours, or otherwise in connection there with. As the arrangements for each entire tour as specified in the itineraries represent a complete package of arrangements, an itemization of costs will not be rendered. Bookings are only accepted on these conditions and responsibilities as outlined above. Payment of a deposit is deemed to be an acknowledgment of this understanding.
